:: Getting to Cascais
From the Airport, by car:
Going out of the airport, there are signs for "2ª circular" - follow
them. Keep there for 7,5km and then exit to "CRIL, Algés, Cascais". 4Km
more and exit to motorway "A5 Cascais". You'll get to Cascais after 12
Km. Be ready to pay a 1€ toll passing by Carcavelos in A5.
Aproximated time: 35 minutes. Taxi aproximated price: 22 euro.
From the Airport, by public transportation:
1) During the day, get bus 91 or the 45 to "Cais do Sodré" (you can get
the ticket from the driver for 0,9€). After mid-night get the Night Network bus
(Rede da Madrugada) to "Cais do Sodré". Every bus stops next to the
train station that can get you in Cascais. Buy the ticket in an ticket
machine for 1,4€. Cascais is the last station in the line, check
where each train stops in the electronic boards next to them. Some
trains's last stop is in Oeiras - if you happen to go in one of these,
you have to get the next train in Oeiras going to Cascais in the lane
closer to the sea.
From Oriente Train Station, by public transportation:
There is a metro under the train station. Get to the last station in
the red line, Alameda. Change to the green line (using the same ticket,
cost 0,65€), and get out at Cais do Sodré (last stop). The train
station in Cais do Sodré takes you to Cascais (trains every 15min, 30
min at night). Buy the ticket in a ticket machine for 1,4€. Some trains
don't go over Oeiras, so check your destination in the electronic
boards next to the lanes.
